We can provide service almost anywhere Deutsche Telekom has network coverage, which is very extensive. You can easily check availability for your address on our website during the sign-up process.
Not necessarily an active phone service, but a physical line (copper or fiber) from Deutsche Telekom needs to be present or installable at your address.
Ordering & Installation
Signing up is simple! Visit our website, check the availability for your address, select your preferred plan, and complete the online order form. Once we receive your request, our team will reach out to confirm the details and schedule the installation.
Typically, you'll need:
- Your full name and German address.
- A German bank account (IBAN) for direct debit (SEPA Lastschrift) – this is standard for most utility contracts in Germany.
- A valid email address and phone number.
- Sometimes, your date of birth.
- For some addresses, we might need the name of the previous tenant ("Vormieter") or the "Telekom-Dosen-Nummer" (a number on the Telekom socket, if visible) to help identify the line.
This can vary.
- If a line is already active or easily reactivated: It can be as quick as a few days to 1-2 weeks.
- If a technician visit is required: This typically takes 2-4 weeks, sometimes longer depending on technician availability in your area. We will inform you of the scheduled date.
Often, yes. A technician may need to visit to activate or check the line in your apartment or at the building's main distribution frame (MDF or "APL" in German). You (or someone you trust) will need to be present for this appointment. We will inform you if a technician visit is required and schedule it with you.
While many Germans speak some English, Telekom technicians are not guaranteed to be fluent. Their task is purely technical (activating the line). All contractual and support communication will be with us, in English. If you have concerns, let us know, and we can provide some basic German phrases that might be helpful for the appointment.
Equipment & Technical Details
We don't provide a router with our Internet service. You can use your existing router if it's compatible or purchase a new one.
If you need recommendations for a suitable router that works well with our service, we're happy to suggest options based on your specific needs and budget.
Fritz!Box is a very popular brand of routers in Germany, known for its reliability, features, and user-friendly interface (which can often be switched to English).
Contracts & Billing
Our standard contracts typically have a minimum duration of 12 months. We clearly state this during the order process. We may occasionally offer flexible or shorter-term contracts; please check our current offers.
Yes, Germany has a "Sonderkündigungsrecht" (special right of cancellation) under the Telecommunications Act. If you are permanently leaving Germany, you can usually cancel your contract with a notice period of 1 month, even if your minimum contract term hasn't ended. You'll need to provide proof of de-registration ("Abmeldung") from Germany.
Payment is typically made via SEPA Direct Debit ("SEPA-Lastschrift") from a German bank account. This is the standard and most convenient method for recurring payments in Germany.
You can usually take your contract with you! Please inform us at least 4 weeks in advance of your move. We'll check availability at your new address and arrange the transfer. A fee may apply for the relocation, similar to a new connection fee.
Support & Troubleshooting
You can contact our English-speaking customer support team via email or phone. We're here to assist with any questions or technical issues.
First, try these basic steps:
- Restart your router (unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in).
- Check all cable connections.
- Check our website or social media for any known service outages in your area.
If the problem persists, please contact our support team.
If the fault is with the physical line infrastructure (managed by our partner), we will liaise with them on your behalf to get it resolved. You only need to contact us.
